Madeline Perry bowed out of the World Open at the quarter-final stage in Amsterdam on Friday night.
The Banbridge woman was beaten 3-1 by England's Alison Watters, whom Perry had beaten by the same scoreline at the recent British Open in Manchester.
The 32-year-old, seeded seventh, made more unforced errors than her third ranked opponent in a high quality contest which lasted 53 minutes.
Watters ran out a 11-5, 11-8, 11-13, 11-2 winner in four sets.
Perry battled back well after losing the first two games to overcome a 5-1 deficit in the third which she eventually won with the loss of only two points.
However Watters took just seven more minutes to progress to the last four.
